It takes a village to homeschool

It takes a village to homeschool. So how excited was I to find the Homeschool Village Blog Fair?
The first order of business was to share my 3 favorite homeschool blogs. Which is very tough to do because it changes almost weekly. So I've randomly chosen:

Homeschool Creations

At Home Science

Mama Jenn

The second requirement was to talk about how we will spend the month of June. For our family, the summer months are about planning, finishing work we didn't complete (we homeschool year round actually), trying out various summer camps and extra curricular activities (without the pressure of long term commitments), immersing ourselves in large projects and science experiments and traveling together as a family on learning vacations.

At the end of this month I'm going to actually send my family away for 3-days so that I can stay home and plan for our upcoming school year. Usually my wonderful husband sends me off to a nice beach resort by myself, but this year I thought I'd actually get more done (and feel less guilty) if my family enjoyed the beach resort and I stayed home for some uninterrupted homeschool planning and organizing.

I'm glad you found the HS Village. We are so excited about it!

I think I may have to ask my husband about 3 days for planning and organizing. It sounds wonderful! We actually start back next week --- lightly.

Stopping by from Robyn's Mingle Monday. I looked around your site and think I've found another homeschool site to add to my daily blog stops. You have an easy style and I like all the information and pictures.

Thank you!

I love the idea of getting the house all to yourself for 3 days! I think that I may just have to plan a little trip for my Hubby sometime soon. :)
Blessings to you,
Sue

Awww...thanks girlie!! :) I love visiting you too ~ even if I don't always take a moment to comment.

That cartoon you posted today with homeschooler envy is hilarious...and sadly all too true. :)
