Its that time again. My 2nd favorite time of the homeschool year----nomination & voting time for your favorite homeschool blogs!  My all time favorite time of the homeschool year is convention and school planning time, did you really have to ask?

Chameleon Watercolor Painting & Storytime

Today we mixed our Read-aloud time with our craft/art time.  In planning our new school year I wanted to make sure that we got back to doing daily art projects because its so important for fine motor skills & creativity.  Before beginning this project we read, The Mixed up Chameleon by Eric Carle and A color of his own by Leo Lionni.

This art project also serves as an introduction to the resist method.  The instructions and template for this project can be found at Art Projects for Kids.

Our newest future student was placed into our arms on September 15th and our school and life hasn't been the same since!
